Considering that the album was named after this song, it is no surprise that it is one of the best songs on the album-- it has a really weird humor infused in it.Saul Williams takes the risk most artists are afraid to take, and gives away his album for free.
Saul Williams Niggy Stardust Rar Free If YouFree if you are okay with 192kbps versions of the songs, or you pay 5 if you want the high quality 320kbps version. I paid, so that I could rate based on a high quality version of the song, and also, so I could support the artist and the concept of selling directly to the audience, without giving most of the money to a greedy record label. One sentence description: Sonic, noisy as fuck, abrasive and occasionally humorous rockrapspoken music by equal rights activist Saul Williams with help from Trent Reznor. My biggest criticism may just be the rampant use of the N word. Why do some people feel the need to use this word so much Almost every song uses the N word at least a couple times, and I find that to take away from the experience a little, still, This review is on first listen, so I am sure as I digest further lyrics and let the album grow on me, my esteem for this album will continue to expand. For now, based on a first time listening, this is how I feel about Niggy Stardust Track one, Black History Month, is awesome. I am going to say right now, this song is going to scare a lot of people off. It is just totally fun, freaky, and weird, vaguely humorus, and totally rythmic and catchy. Funky, weird, upbeat and fun, while no doubt injected with a lot of politics. What is cool are the cool sound effects that take place about 1:15 into the song. Really cool Fun, funky song, which I would recommend for anyone looking to have fun. Tr(n)igger is reminiscent of one of the heavily sample based songs youd find on oldschool Public Enemy records. A very cool song-- a break from the style of the first two, and a welcome change. Too many songs like the first two would be too much, but it is in the perfect dose with Tr(n)igger in the middle.) Also, great breakdown toward the end, asking, what do you tell your children, about me Overtly political, and very melodic way to end an otherwise abrasive song. By this point, I am very surprised at how danceable and fun Saul has decided to make this album, but also, how much more melodic he is verses previous albums. He does a lot more singing on this song than I am used to hearing form him. His other albums werent this danceable and fun, nor were they this melodic. When I say fun, I am in no way undercutting the meat of these lyrics. ![]() Break is the first song which was leaked, and possibly the weakest on the entire album. A song with a hard rocking chorus, this one is a little more rock-ish than the other ones, but for some reason, just doesnt really work as well as the others. I think it is especially the intro that just doesnt work as well for me. Still, I have had this song stuck in my head now on more than one occasion. Niggy Stardust is the title track, and, is a return to form for Saul Williams-- spoken word. This is really the first track of his that is spoken word so far in the album, and by this point I am totally ready for his signature style to come back to the album, as I hardly recognize him as Saul until this point.
